Love, love, loved this place! The building is breathtakingly beautiful and offers so much character. Breakfast was provided every day. We stayed for a week, and each day they prepared something different, which was really nice. It is a little off the beaten path for tourists, but the neighborhood offers it's own beauty and charm. There are plenty of good cafes, a market, and the metro nearby. The entire staff is so lovely and welcoming. It is rare to feel at home while traveling, but every evening when I returned to this place, it felt like I was coming home. I would stay here time and time again!

I absolutely loved staying at El Patio 77. Even before I stepped foot in CDMX, Elvira already WhatsApp me to make sure I have everything and also got me in contact with the airport shuttle, which made a smooth arrival. The hotel is not walking distance to cafes & restaurants but Ubers are super cheap. I planned accordingly and I loved the quietness of the neighbourhood. Bonus, it’s about 10mins walk from the only Michelin-starred taco food truck. And their breakfast is soooo good!

Thanks Elvia and Alex! We were able to check in early and they recommended great spots and things to do around the neighborhood. Super comfy bed and very clean room, we stayed in the Michoacan suite. The only thing I would change is the shower pressure, a little too light, but I assume it's because of a sustainable home. The complimentary shower products and hand soap smelled amazing! A nice long walk to condesa/Roma if you want to get steps in and a very short Uber. Great if you want to check out a different, not so touristy but still very safe neighborhood. Breakfast included is a plus, always delicious fresh fruit with it. No AC and not needed- a really good fan in the room and windows open was perfect, and I went in hot April. The neighborhood is quiet at night so it's nice to wake up to open windows and birds chirping. Lovely stay, would do it again! Thank you :)

We had a great experience staying at El Patio 77. We were looking for a location close to Roma, Juarez, etc but a little quieter. The San Rafael neighborhood was perfect for us; a reasonable walk or short car ride from most places we wanted to go. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bakeries in the neighborhood too. There is also a metro station just a few blocks away from El Patio 77. We don’t like the generic, any city, feeling of a lot of hotels. El Patio has a unique personality, mixing history and contemporary beautifully. The rooms are themed to each represent different states in Mexico. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts served each morning were delicious. We also were pleased to see the environmental considerations made by the hotel. Note that only the supplied body wash, shampoo and conditioner can be used in the shower in order to catch and clean the shower water. But the supplied products are very nice! Folks from the USA should be aware that air conditioning is far less common in Mexico, and El Patio doesn’t have it.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The check in/ check out process easy and friendly. We were out and about most days and just slept there but the place and beautiful & quaint. We were in the quieter/less busy area. The staff was always there to help with suggestions or recommendations. I am looking forward to going back!
