It's an old hotel, its facilities leave much to be desired, not very pleasant, very noisy... And the service is bad.
The receptionist was very friendly. It was my first time visiting and the service was excellent. The elevator was working perfectly. It clearly deserves 3 stars, no more, no less. Very clean and comfortable, just right for those who aren't too demanding. The price and quality were very good for the 2 nights I stayed. (Brazil vs. Haiti is playing now 😉)
I think it's only okay if you're going out partying and staying there to avoid traveling too late, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. The rooms are tiny, there's no air conditioning, you can hear all the noise from the other rooms, the bed was too noisy, and the sheets were very rough. It kills any romance, especially if you're with your partner. The location isn't great either; it's full of homeless people, and the street is very dark at night. I think there are better options, and even for the relatively cheap price, I wouldn't go back.
Excellent service, clean room, very friendly and helpful staff with directions to places I visited
