The Riverside Hotel

The entire hotel reeks of old mud. The bathroom furniture looks like it's from the 70s. Everything else isn't much newer either. Access to the hiking trail along the river is nice. The pool and restaurants are okay. Breakfast is completely overpriced and really bad.

Everything about this place is great. Great for families, huge hotel with prime location and pretty scenery. Great staff and food.

Got called the N- Word Today! My Husband, Son and I recently stayed at The Riverside Hotel in Boise, Idaho while traveling for business, and our experience was deeply upsetting. While I sat near the pool area, I heard 2 little boys that were in the pool repeatedly chanting the N-word. The slur was shouted multiple times, so I immediately started recording audio and brought the recording to the attention of hotel management. The staff was apologetic, and the manager stated that he reviewed the cameras and would try to determine who the parents were. However, he ultimately told us there was little else he could do and did not provide any meaningful solution. My Husband, Son and I were left feeling unsupported, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. So we left the hotel! Children are not born with this kind of and hatred. Knowing that I was sharing space with adults who are teaching their children to be ignorant and slow using such hateful language is deeply concerning. Had I or another Black guest been the one loudly using racial slurs, WE would end up in jail for 30 plus years in Boise unjustly as usual! Instead, we were left with an apology and no real resolution. I hope The Riverside Hotel in Boise takes stronger action in the future when incidents involving racial hate occur and works to ensure that all guests feel safe, respected, and valued. The parents need to be held accountable! TO THE PARENTS OF THE CHILDREN: The most disturbing part was not hearing children repeatedly scream the N-word. It was realizing that there are stupid adults raising them to believe that this behavior is acceptable. Children are a reflection of what they see, hear, and learn at home. If your children felt comfortable loudly using one of the most hateful racial slurs in the English language around complete strangers, that speaks volumes about the environment they are being raised in!!! YOU find excuses for their bad behavior, but the rest of US see it for what it is: a FAILURE of parenting, a failure of character, and a failure to teach basic respect for other human beings no matter their race. One day your children will have to live in a world that judges them by the values you instilled in them. Based on what I experienced, that should concern you far more than it concerns me. You are not raising children to be respectful members of society—you are raising children who believe cruelty and prejudice are acceptable. That is a legacy no parent should be proud of. Definitely expected from one of the most raciest stated in the world! You Are Disgusting!

Older rooms, ours smelled like old cigarettes, room service didn't work and can hear kids stomping around above us and the people talking in the room next to us, without my hearing aids in. Better hotels for the same price.

Great hotel very close to downtown Boise. It has almost a resort feel with size and amenities outside and and in. Included breakfast is one of the best. Very large outdoor pool with seating and bar service. Active outside area but not busy or loud. Just right. Rooms are very nice with good size with large bathrooms and two sinks. Lots of storage. Next to river with modern public waterfront integration. Didn't try their restaurant outside of breakfast. Drinks are overpriced but just make your own in your room if you plan on staying the day on site and drinking. Pretty good value!

1 night staycation, we had friends visiting from out of town. A couple small hiccups and they went above and beyond to help me. Especially Spencer as well as Hayden (and I didn’t catch the lady’s name in housekeeping). I will continue to recommend this hotel to friends, and my kids are already asking to return for another staycation.

Gorgeous setup. I did not stay the night but attended the 2026 SICC Coin Show. It has an amazing convention area and landscape and design

Very nice hotel with a very nice ( better than the normal breakfast buffet)

Great location. Clean and seems recently renovated.
