Went to the Riverside to hang with some outta town friendsnwho are staying there. We spent most of the time down at the restaraunt. My friend ordered some salmon and asked for it to be rare, and it came out so dry it looked fossilized. She told the waiter, and he simply said sorry about that, as he walked off. Thats why they're getting 1 star for service. Probably just this one waiter... but regardless... this is what I saw with my own eyes, and I actually had to laugh at how preposterous the lack of care was. The rooms are decent, and my friends said they have new matresses since the last time they stayed which was a couple of years ago. It is great that its right on the boise river and the walking path, the "Greenbelt".
We loved coming for the outside saltwater pool with sands bar right beside with live music, but everyone has discovered our little piece of paradise. The pool was too full on Friday after check in, no chairs available. The room we stayed in was still outdated, and was very noisy in the night with young people running and screaming in the hall. Good service though.
I spent $260 a night for 3 nights with my girlfriend and our pet dog. When we got to our room, everything seemed nice at first, the room seemed clean, but when one of us got into the shower, we realized the house cleaning had left a large amount of hair on the wall. When we went the next day to ask to get it removed, we were told it would be cleaned and we would be given a discount for our stay. When we got to our room a few hours later, we found that the house cleaning had been there as the bed was made, but the hair was still left in the shower. When we asked to get the hair removed again, they didn’t offer anything else, despite the fact that they had missed this old hair left in our room three times, and I had to point it out myself to the house cleaning. We were told that we would be given a 25% discount for our stay, which I had interpreted as for our whole stay, but it was only 25% off of one of the nights, which ended up being about $60 off our almost $1000 ($859) stay (despite the fact that the hair was in our room for two days). We also found lots of bugs in the pool and hot tub on the multiple days we went. One of the nice things was one of the people at the front desk, Jasmine. Jasmine was very kind, understanding, and empathetic towards our situation, and even offered us some free cookies for our trouble. The food on site was pretty average for hotel food, the breakfast was pretty good, but we agreed the sandbar was underwhelming, though the live entertainment was good. Maybe we just got unlucky with our stay, but I would not come again.
The spot when in Boise!
We came here to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. I wanna come back again next year! This place is almost like a mini cruise ship on land. The place and our room was very clean and spacious. Took us lots of walking around to figure out our way around. We got to watch a beaver in the water and I took a video. Our bed was way too hard for me so we went to the laundry people and they game me extra pillows to sleep on. 😃 Problem solved. Beautiful scenery to walk around and enjoy. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub too! Fantastic breakfast buffet for having a fresh made omlet and the Riverside bacon is too die for. Several places throughout the late afternoon/evening for entertainment. When walking along the river front, watch out for people on motor bicycles and motorized skateboards as some go too fast, so be ready for them.
