Extended Stay America Suites- Chesapeake - Crossways Blvd.

Don’t know where these 5-star reviews are coming from. Arrived and staff were friendly and assigned my room. Upon walking in, a smell from the AC hits you & you can tell filters haven’t been changed or the units serviced. The scene on the fridge door definitely disturbed me (covered in brown filth from top to bottom) & the light on the inside didn’t work; the lights in the room weren’t on but you could see the stains on the carpet. I knew someone else staying for the weekend & they relayed that their fridge door looked similar to the photos I showed them. The bathroom looked surprisingly clean, but the rest of the room was disturbing. Left immediately & was displaced on a sold out weekend. You can tell they target a certain type of guest and don’t maintain or invest in the property or its upkeep as they clearly feel they don’t need to. Also, the stairwells have unpleasant smells. $200+ a night for those conditions should be illegal & as someone who’s stayed in nice extended stays, this experience will make me second guess locations in the future.

Do not stay here staff are unprofessional manager is disturbingly rude unkind very evil person I wouldn’t spend my money in a place I’m not valued as a customer it’s not worth it especially for the price as well as the disgusting attitudes rooms are outdated and old

I came to Norfolk Virginia on travel for my work. The hotel I was assigned I was not happy with. I called Extended Stay America and asked if they had available space and they did the gentleman on the phone was quite helpful in getting me set up. When I arrived and checked in the manager herself was the person that checked me in. I was shown to my room 305 and unfortunately, my trip was cut short due to work situation. When I went to the office to tell them that I was leaving the next day the young lady at the counter was very helpful and printed out a copy of my current receipt with the refund for the other days that I wasn't going to stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my fellow workers who work for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Thank you for all of your help and kindness. Danny Moore
