I have mixed feelings on this boutique hotel … I was staying here while trying to find an apartment in east Lakeview and am, genuinely saddened that I had to leave. Be careful of the radiators - I am hoping that they updated them since my departure. They no longer serve breakfast, are not pet friendly despite being advertised via online, and do not care about the safety of their guests or staff. On a positive note - they are cubs themed with amazing decor, staff is friendly and welcoming, they have a joint partnership with the FFC and gym down the block (but you have to ask as they keep this quiet) it’s just minutes from the lake with a great view, and they have the most comfortable beds in any hotel I have ever stayed at. Communal area with a fireplace, free coffee, tea and popcorn and some of the most hardworking staff that I have come across. The rooms are exceptional clean and Roger (the main maintenance man) works his butt off (is overworked, in my opinion) as is Amelia. But shout outs to Juan, Veronica, Abel, Luis, Lima, irena, and Lupe (along with any cleaning staff unnamed). Unfortunately, the lack of updates and communication between staff made my cats and I sick. Side note - this building used to be a refuge home for women and children that were lost and alone during and after WW1. Check out the building architecture!! I miss this hotel and all of you guys 🌻

I stayed in January 2025, it's a very good hotel in a great location.

Clean and comfortable. Inside parking around the corner. Quiet neighborhood. The building is older, but the rooms are updated and very nice. The bathrooms are a bit small with a pedestal sink, to be expected in an old building, but there also is a galley bar/fridge/microwave. Close to Wriggly Field, and has a great, comfortable sitting room with games, tea, coffee and popcorn. Water pressure is a little low, but plenty of hot water. Grocery store three blocks away. Would absolutely stay again!

Elevator buttons extremely low towards the floor at knee level. Very uncomfortable to operate. Floors are too hard for musculoskeletal health. Very taxing in the bones. Floors in the rooms floors are hazardous to neurological functioning due to excessive unevenness misaligning the hips so that they are unable to properly support spinal health.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. The staff was good, the hotel itself is basically an old apartment building turned into a hotel. Floors very squeaky, water pressure in the shower was horrible. TV in the bedroom area did not work properly. For over $500 a night since the Cubs were playing at home it is not worth the money.

The location of the Majestic Hotel is great because it's very close to Wrigley Field and Lake Shore Drive. A 15-20 minute walk to Wrigley and the hotel decor is a baseball lover's dream. A full mini-bar and a couple bottles of wine are available for purchase in each room. This is surprisingly a very European style hotel because you enter on the "Ground" floor. One flight up is the "First" Floor and so on. The elevator is very European too because it's very small and fits two people comfortably, three will be tight. Coffee and water are available in the lobby but they don't have a breakfast service. The rooms are nice with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the shower! When you book a room at the Majestic, they will tell you to call for parking information. I'll give it to you now and please write it down: When coming from the interstate, approach the area on Addison. You can get a view of Wrigley as you pass by. Just before you get to N Lake Shore Drive, you will see two roll-up garage doors marked In and Out. With a black sign next to the In door. Pull into the driveway and honk (if the door is closed). The door will open so pull in and the parking attendant will greet you. He will give you a parking ticket and park your car for you. Look for the sign that reads "Exit to Lobby" go through this door and you will be in the Lake Shore Hotel lobby. Walk through to the side door on the south end. You will now be on Brompton Ave. Head to your right and the Majestic Hotel with be just up the street on the right. When you check-in, have the desk clerk validate your parking ticket. You do not have to pay for parking. But a tip to the attendant is nice. Again, write this down or commit it to memory. You're welcome in advance.
