Jameson Inn Douglas

Room was clean and neat. Continental breakfast was simple including coffee, milk, juice, cereal, bread, bagles, and grits packages. The location was not scenic but was close to restaurants and shops. I recommend Jameson for a simple, clean, and thrifty overnight stay.

Great room for the price! Cleaned daily, staff super friendly and helpful, and easy access to everything in Douglas!

For an older hotel the rooms were clean... had a funny smell in room.

We took a long weekend trip to visit family and stayed here. We had a ground floor room facing the gas station. Our room was clean and not once did we hear our neighbors above or beside our room. It is separated by thick hedges from the gas station and quiet. There is breakfast free consisting of milk, cereal and a fruit. It's not a hot breakfast by any means but was sufficient as snack. There is a Diner and Mexican restaurant two buildings over... both delicious. We would stay here again.

Would have stayed here but 1 room avail. Non smoking and wanted a smoking. Have stayed here in the past and no problems...

I booked my mom and dad a stay here for our family reunion in Douglas, GA. The room was booked and paid for in advance a month and half prior. Our family reunion was the weekend of July 4th. On July 3rd, I received a confirmation email reminder of the upcoming stay. That email came at 10a. At midnight, I received another email stating that the reservation was canceled. I called to inquire about the cancellation and was told that the hotel was doing some construction. I was highly upset due to the last minute inconvenience. Of course, the reservation was canceled because you wanted to increase the cost since it was a holiday. However, they won’t admit that. The proof was obvious. My cousin booked a room last minute at the same hotel and was provided a room. He paid much more than what was charged for the exact some room. I had to find my mom and dad a different hotel last minute and because it was last minute on a holiday weekend the prices were astronomical. If construction really was taken place then why was my cousin able to book not only one room but two rooms with no issue? On top of that, unless there was a maintenance emergency repair, construction of any kind is scheduled well in advance. Any major business plans accordingly for things like this and customers wouldn’t have been allowed to book during this time. What the hotel did was bad for business. I will never support this hotel or any sister companies that they are associated with. Pics provided.

The room was very dirty when we arrived, and there was a strong smell of mildew. The sheets had dirt stains on them and there was someone else’s hair on my pillowcase when I turned it over.
