Our Spot KC

Our Spot KC is the LGBTQ+ nonprofit that now runs Kansas City PrideFest; kcpride.org names it as the organization behind KC Pride. It is Black-led and based at 2810 E 80th Street in south Kansas City, and it has absorbed the former Kansas City Center for Inclusion, which used to operate on Main Street in Midtown. Much of its work is on LGBTQ+ homelessness, through a housing programme, a navigation centre and street outreach. It also runs a weekly calendar of peer groups, including a trans support group, social and youth nights and a free clothing boutique. Check the calendar before you visit. It is a long way south of the Midtown bars, so plan on a car or rideshare.
