Alamitos Beach

Alamitos Beach is Long Beach's LGBTQ+ beachfront, fronting the Alamitos Beach neighborhood and the Broadway Corridor gay district just a block or two inland. It's a wide, calm stretch of sand along the shoreline path popular with queer locals for sunbathing, walking and cycling, especially in the warmer months. There's no formally designated 'gay section', but the beach and its promenade have long been the community's default spot by the water, close to the bars, cafes and the city's emerging LGBTQ+ Cultural District.
