This Hotel is very nice. Hotel is very clean. Rooms are nice size. All furniture is new and very comfortable. Beds are very comfortable. Internet works excellent. Lots of parking. Staff is Excellent. Hotel has easy access to freeway. Highly recommend this hotel.
This was a nice hotel. The room we had was quiet, clean, and in good condition. We went in October and at that time of year the pool is shaded by to hotel so it's very comfortable to sit out there even when the temperature is in the 90s. A few things to be aware of: there is a limited choice of restaurants nearby but there is a Sprouts about a mile away. Also, the exercise room has limited weight lifting equipment, only dumbbells and benches. Overall, the hotel is good and I would stay there again.
I had to wait 10 minutes most mornings for coffee at breakfast. Why can’t they figure out how to accelerate their coffee making process? The rooms have the standard Residence Inn layout. The electronic key making server was broken the first two days of our stay, requiring a front desk person to open our room door every time we returned. The front desk staff was pleasant throughout the interval.
booked room 2 weeks ago and the day before I am supposed to show up they send an email saying they are sorry but we overbooked and canceled my reservation! What kind of crap is this! You are screwing up my whole trip 24 hrs before I am supposed to show up?
This was a great property for our family to stay in over 5 days. When we travel for sporting events we are always looking for this brand of hotels. Breakfast was great and the rooms are up to date and very clean.
My family was traveling to visit a family member that is extremely ill. We were greeted compassionately and given a room that helped meet the needs of everyone in our party. The general manager himself saw to our needs, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel itself was clean and lived up to the high standards we expect from Marriott.
We have asked numerous times for trash removal, clean towels and vacuum. We been here for 2 weeks almost and no one seems to care. I am going to report this to my homeowners insurance.. our home flooded out after a pipe burst in our walls and now temporary housing can't even get a clean towel for a shower.
We stayed there twice in December for 3 nights then again for 2 nights with our family (4 different rooms). Overall the hotel is clean and nice, however, we had a couple small issues. Due to COVID they are not doing daily housekeeping, however, we did ask for new towels and to have our trash removed. We even emptied our bath trash into the kitchen trash can and put it by the doorway. They brought the new towels, laid them on the kitchen bar and left the trash. The other small issue, again because of COVID they are not providing a full buffet but rather serving individuals items into a box from a menu selection which is fine in concept, however often several items were out/ not available or if you went close to the breakfast closing time you would be lucky to get anything at all. I will say the staff was pleasant and very nice during our stay. The laundry facilities were convenient on site. The gym is small it does not really have any weights but does have a few exercise machines and a water bottle filler. The outdoor and indoor seating areas are nice for family gatherings as well (we saw outdoor grills, but did not use them).
We have stayed at a Residence Inn before and knew that Marroitt is top-notch for cleanliness and service so when we stopping for a night here in Mesa, we had no concerns about the room. Little did we know how wrong we were. We were out and about for most of the evening and in the morning I went down for some grab and go breakfast. Back in the kitchen, I was looking for some kitchens utensils and found a dirty knife in the drawer. I also found a plastic bag stuffed in a drawer. Looking further, I found greasy finger marks on the toaster and on the outside of several cupboards and crumbs were scattered inside one of them. On the bottom of one of the dresser drawers, there was some dried up goo. I couldn’t believe it! When we checked out, I told the front desk clerk about it and she profusely apologized and said for us to send the pictures I took to the General Manager Shawn Mattern. I did as told and it’s been over a week and I haven’t heard a word from him. This is very disappointing and not expected at a hotel chain such as Marriott. This comes at a time (COVID-19) when hotels are promising cleanliness. Our room was anything but that!
Definitely not as clean as you would expect from a Marriott Hotel! The kitchen sponge was used! We have stayed at the same Hotel chain in other cities and they were so much cleaner and had much nicer furnishings. Maybe because it’s close to Apache Junction they think lower their standards! The bathroom floor and shower needed a good cleaning also! The walls had food on them also! I don’t think we will be staying there again , not at almost $200 a night.
