Hotel Morris House

It is a beautiful garden like hotel. I guess it is configured from an old house. Breakfast is complimentary and they have cookies and coffee I the afternoon for free as well.

Great location for liberty bell, independence hall. No elevator so aware of your on third flóor, but for the history it's fantastic.

Staying here is a lovely experience and in the heart of the action if you want to visit the historic area in Philly. 1/2 block from Washington Square and less than 10 minutes walk to the Bell and Mint. I was recommended Tulula's Garden to eat (not disappointed either) and the stay was incredible. While there is a lack of accessibility for disabled folks (no elevators, quite a few stairs) it was worth the additional trouble. The rooms were clean, quiet, and the service was top notch. In the morning the breakfast was more than continental as described. There is afternoon tea. There are fresh baked cookies daily. Our suite had a kitchen and coffee as well as bottled water. The suite was spacious, clean, and while we were not in the room much, it was nice to come back to after a long day of walking around Philly. Parking across the street was "validated" which meant a 10% discount, but it was $65 for 36 hours. Being disabled I doubt I will be able to stay again, but it would be a serious contender for my next trip to Philly.

Great hotel in the centre of Philadelphia, well located for the historic sites and quiet despite the central location. Well maintained historic property. Very much appreciated the hospitality of the staff, who were helpful throughout my stay.

Close to Philadelphia's historic center, a very well-preserved 18th-century mansion. The furniture and decor, maintained in both the rooms and common areas, transport you back in time. The hotel shows signs of wear, but at this stage this is quite normal for an establishment of this kind. The inner courtyard must be particularly pleasant in fine weather. The staff is helpful and friendly. Two areas for improvement: the breakfast is not very varied - there is no fruit juice, cold cuts, or cheese - and the WiFi is very unreliable and requires reconnecting several times a day. One issue: in the room, which has poor soundproofing, I could hear a constant noise that appears to come from a large air conditioning unit or a generator in a neighboring building.

Cute little inn right in the heart of the historical must-sees of Philadelphia. Great place if you're visiting without a vehicle.

The room had no hot water. The night of arrival it took about 5mins to get hot water in the bathroom sink (which is wasteful), but eventually it worked, and the shower was fine. In the morning however there was no hot water whatsoever. I stayed in March and it was no fun. When I told the front desk person about the issue, he acted very annoyed and said they mention it on their website (which, even if it was true, would be ridiculous just to mention somewhere on the website, as this type of information should be more of a warning in all caps at the time of booking). I just searched for any mentioning of this information on their website to double-check, and didn’t find anything. It means the front desk person lied. He did offer me $20 refund for the inconvenience 😂

Had to rent a room at the last minute due to some medical concerns. Spoke to a gentleman "Scott" he did everything he could to accommodate me and my wife. Very professional in every way you can imagine... Even walked us to our room to make sure everything was ok. Had to call to follow up on my receipt being emailed, spoke to a young lady "Linda" again.... couldn't have asked for anything more. Professional, polite, all taken care of... good to go. God Bless - thanks again for the hospitality, meant a lot during those trying times.
