Absolutely wonderful stay for our first time in Philadelphia. The location was perfect, nearby and very walkable to Independence Hall, the Mint, etc., and the hotel itself was lovely. Our room was so comfortable and we loved the historic feel. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day, with fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bagels, and english muffins available. Cereal and oatmeal also were available. The coffee was great as well. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The French restaurant on site was also wonderful- highly recommended for a delicious dinner.

Wonderful place in historic area of downtown Philly. Right next door to Will’s Eye Hospital. Fantastic customer service!

The good: location is central and walkable, staff was mostly kind and accommodating, free cookies, breakfast was minimal but unexpected, beds, couch and bed were very comfortable and spaciousness of our room was quite nice. The bad: 1ply toilet paper should be illegal in 2026. Such a simple thing can go a long way. The Internet is horrifically bad. None of the tvs would connect for use of the smart TV features and it made us sign a terms of service 10 times a day to connect while then blocking random sites and features. Felt like I was in middle school again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute Gem in the Heart of Philadelphia This was our first stay at the Morris House Hotel, and it certainly won’t be our last. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, every aspect of our visit was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, blending historic charm with modern comfort in a way that creates a warm, peaceful, and elegant atmosphere. Our room (#101) was immaculate, very spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. What impressed us most was the outstanding hospitality. Every member of the staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming, professional, and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. We especially enjoyed the delicious complimentary breakfast and the lovely courtyard restaurant — a peaceful oasis after a day of exploring the founding of our nation. The location couldn’t have been better, within easy walking distance of Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, excellent restaurants, shopping, and so many of the city’s historic treasures. We give the Morris House Hotel our highest recommendation and are already looking forward to returning. Thank you to the entire staff for making our first visit to Philadelphia so memorable. Five stars in every respect!
