I am a diamond member and stay at Hilton properties almost weekly. I have never been asked to pay an early check in fee until I got to this property. Normal if they have a room clean Hilton will let you check in early. I was an hour and thirty minutes early. They clearly had rooms ready because they were happy to charge me $20 for checking in early. I get that individual properties have their own policies, but there was nothing that said when I reserved that this was a policy of theirs. To top it off because I did not want to spend money with them because I didn’t like the policy they will not let me cancel without a fee .
My stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Phoenix Airport North was enjoyable thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. I arrived on May 19 for a week-long visit. When I checked in and entered my room, I found the door very difficult to open. After entering with my luggage, I went out for food. When I returned, I struggled again with the door and couldn't open it. I contacted the front desk, where Angel, the clerk, advised me to come down. Angel then accompanied me back to the room to try opening the door. Although Angel's efforts didn't succeed, I was able to open the door myself. Concerned about my safety, Angel assigned me a new, even nicer room. Angel also recommended a place to eat. The manager, Mike, went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. He promptly handled every request I had, contributing to my positive experience. As a manager, Mike was first-rate, providing superb service. The other front desk clerks, Jordan and Lakesha, also did an excellent job making my stay enjoyable. Jordan helped me arrange transportation to a concert, which was the reason I stayed at the hotel. Lakeisha provided great recommendations for shopping and dining nearby. Both provided information that made my stay enjoyable. Overall, my stay was fantastic, and I definitely plan to stay here again.
The room was small but clean. It was a quick stay but nice. As always Hampton does not disappoint.
