Durand Eastman Park

Durand Eastman Park is a large lakeside park on the northeastern edge of Rochester, running along the Lake Ontario shoreline off Lakeshore Boulevard and Zoo Road. Its wooded trails and quiet parking areas have long been an informal daytime gay cruising spot, documented in cruising guides and referenced in local reporting for decades.

Discretion is essential. The park is public, patrolled by the Monroe County Sheriff, and there have been documented police enforcement actions over the years; New York public-lewdness and indecent-exposure laws apply. Stick to public areas, respect other park users (families, hikers and beachgoers use the same space), and be aware of your surroundings.
