Rainbow Center is Tacoma's LGBTQ+ community center and Pierce County's largest LGBTQIA2S+ nonprofit, founded in 1997. Based at 2215 Pacific Avenue downtown, it provides education, advocacy, support services and safe community space, and is the organizer and host of the annual Tacoma Pride Festival. It also houses the Oasis Youth Center and runs its yearly "Gayla" fundraiser, making it the anchor of organized LGBTQ+ life in the South Sound.
