Hampton Inn & Suites Toledo/Westgate

We were running early and the nice young man at the desk accommodated an early check-in. Everything about our stay was great. Hampton Inns are wonderful!

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and my daughter left her sound machine in the room, and we didn't realize it until we got home. Taking full responsibility, I called the hotel and they found it. I agreed to pay the shipping for UPS to have it sent back and gave them permission to use the card on file. Fast forward 2 weeks, and we have not received the sound machine. I called the hotel and apparently there was an issue with UPS trying to charge my card, so they never shipped it (although this is the same card they charged for my room with no issues, so seems a bit sketchy). But what I am upset about is that it's been 2 weeks and no one called to tell me this! If I would have known, I would have just told them to forget about it and ordered a new one. When I told the guy on the phone that this was absolutely crazy, and at this point they should really send it back to me on their charge, because this is on them now, he put me on hold for 5 minutes, and then asked me if I wanted to try a new card! Absolutely ridiculous! I would also like to add that I asked for a manager to call me back, and no one ever did.

I wish I could give zero. To say tonight was deplorable, is an understatement ! Was left stranded at midnight with my 2 children after having a confirmed booking at Hampton Inn since 7 PM for a room with 2 queen beds.  Michelle at customer service was absolutely deplorable — from the attitude to basically telling us to “figure it out” while my children were crying in the lobby. Not once was there any real attempt to help or accommodate us, even with something as simple as offering a king room with a pullout couch.  She screamed at EXPEDIA reps and even HAMPTON INN CUSTOMER REPS who called her to reason! The entire experience was beyond unacceptable and completely lacked compassion or professionalism. Please check your cameras/ pull phone records and review how this situation was handled.  Ironically, we walked next door to Holiday Inn, where staff immediately stepped up and helped us without hesitation. Supported my children upstairs. That level of customer service is what people expect when traveling with children late at night when clearly the issue is out of my hands. ABSOLUTELY disgraceful !

I am doing you a favor by telling you this. I booked a room with this hotel for Mother’s Day weekend and it was the worst experience I could’ve possibly imagined. Not only are they racist Towards white people, but they are unprofessional they allow things to happen in their facilities that quite frankly should not be allowed anywhere in public. My girlfriend was hit in the side of the head with a baseball in the pool area and nothing was done about it not wanting to report was made, and we actually got kicked out because of the ladies in the lobby were racist towards me. I have it all on record. I have videos. I have everything it’s deplorable. Do not waste your money. Do not spend your money on anything on this road actually It’s the same owners do not waste your money. It’s not worth it.. Seriously guys I am not the person usually leaves reviews, but I have to in this Instance because I do not want people to get screwed the way I got screwed. They also charge me for a room that I didn’t even stay in four days after we left their facilities. Just do yourself a favor. Do not go to this hotel. It’s god awful.

Was sad about the pool area. The hot tub was taped off and not working and the pool was pretty dirty and super murky and freezing cold. For the money, you’d hope the amenities would at least be functional and clean. Good place to stay mid way to our destination as far as location, but that’s really all that was good about it.
