DoubleTree by Hilton Birmingham Perimeter Park
Many guests found the rooms to be clean and the staff friendly, with some praising the shower and fitness room. However, a significant number of visitors complained about having to pay for parking, with some also noting issues with amenities like ice machines, coffee availability, and maintenance problems in the rooms.

Lotta little stuff added up unfortunately, upon arrival no one was at the front desk 6:44 pm on a Sunday, you have to pay extra for parking even as a guest, you have pay extra for Continental breakfast, room bed was lumpy, sink drain was stuck closed and the metal rod to lift was broken, toilet seat loose, shower was nice, place was clean. Location was close to a lot of good restaurants
Great place great staff great rooms
The 1 star is for property owner needing to invest in the capital infrastructure. Had 2 rooms at this hotel on the 4th floor and both rooms had severe issues and dangerous health risks. See photos. This seems to be an ownership issue and a need to reinvest $$ to eliminate toxic mold issues. Not cover it up, but care enough to perform real mitigation to eliminate. I encountered breathing problems from mold smell coming from vent. In the 2nd room, mold and mildew were very visible. It was brought to front desk attention and handled. Manager, front desk staff, and maintenance are great, but ownership needs to put money back into the aged infrastructure - vents cleaned, pipes, treat mold, etc. Pls go beyond making the lobby look modern. Eliminate old dusty drapes, carpet, and outdated furniture. It appears rooms are hit or miss, but make no mistake toxic mold impacts everyone. If you stay, inspect your room carefully. Top down ownership support is needed to match the efforts of a great staff.
James at the front desk is extremely rude for the entire stay. I had room issues as well but him alone will have me questioning if I stay at another Hilton/Doubletree.
The room was clean and beds were good. So if its just a overnight trip, you should be fine. If its an extended 2+ day trip or sports related then I would have to pass on staying here again. -You have to pay to park, this was a 1st for me in 30 years of hotels, -No ice on any floors but #8, -No onsite laundry, -No coffee in lobby area, -No free parking, -No free complimentary breakfast. -No TOWELS!!! We got back from our game 95 degree weather at 12pm on day #2 and maid service had not came and we had no clean towels. We were put on a waiting list, 3hrs later still no towels- we used hand towels to be able to go to dinner. Got back that night after 9pm, and still no towels in our room. Had to go to front desk and request them again before we got them. -Can't lounge in lounge area without being stalked that you're having a "party" and dont even think of bringing outside food! -Maid service came 1 time during our 4 night stay and they didnt change or make the beds, and didnt vacuum. The left no towels, but did leave 3 washcloths and 2 hand towels. The trash piled up outside and there was random trash that sat on same table for the same 4 days. For the money we paid i expected more amenities as mentioned above. Just not a very well managed or customer friendly hotel in my opinion.
