About this place Hotel Canal de Beagle

Hotel Canal de Beagle sits on the Av. Maipú waterfront (costanera) directly opposite the port, making it one of the most convenient bases for travellers boarding Antarctic and Beagle Channel cruises. Many rooms look out over the channel. With a 4.4 Google rating from well over a thousand guests, it is a dependable central hotel. Tierra del Fuego's tourism board actively promotes Ushuaia as an LGBTQ+ friendly destination, and same-sex marriage has been legal across Argentina since 2010, so welcoming service for gay and lesbian travellers is standard here.

A very good hotel. The service is excellent, the rooms are spacious and very well equipped. The heating is excellent (a little too high for my taste). The staff is very friendly. The breakfast area is spacious and has a wide variety of food. The view is incredible.

This is my second time choosing this hotel. I'd highlight the tranquility, cleanliness, and good location. The only thing I would improve is the Wi-Fi service, which is practically nonexistent.

“I stayed at this hotel in July. My experience in the spa and pool area was not what I expected. I was hoping for a peaceful environment to relax for several days. However, that wasn't the case.” “The themed showers, advertised as offering different sensations, were not working during my stay.” “There is a staff member in charge of customer service in the spa area, but I had to insist to get instructions on how the themed showers worked. They finally explained how they functioned, although during my stay, these showers were not in operation.” “Upon arrival at the hotel, I also received no directions on how to get to my room or the different areas. I had to find my way around on my own.” “For all these reasons, I do not recommend this hotel and would not stay there again.”
