Gay Saunas in Guayaquil
Unlike some coastal cities its size, Guayaquil has a genuine gay-sauna (baño turco / spa para hombres) scene — a handful of established men's bathhouses concentrated downtown, with one in the Urdesa district. These are cruising-oriented spas offering steam rooms, dry saunas, whirlpools and private areas. Most are men-only. Hours vary, so it's worth checking a venue's social channels before visiting.
Relax Spa (Sauna Relax Spa)
Downtown on Padre Solano, Relax Spa is widely regarded as the city's flagship gay sauna. It appears in international gay-sauna guides and advertises dry sauna, steam, whirlpool and darkroom facilities — "un lugar exclusivo para gente diferente." A solid first stop.
Scorpius Spa GYE
A popular downtown men's sauna with an active social-media presence and rainbow branding, Scorpius offers free sauna and steam sessions and regular promotions. It's one of the better-reviewed spas on the scene.
Pegasso Sauna
A long-standing downtown bathhouse near Carchi, Pegasso is a classic Guayaquil gay sauna, mapped and reviewed across the usual platforms. A no-frills, established option in the central cluster.
Spa S&S
Located in the upscale Urdesa district along Víctor Emilio Estrada, Spa S&S is the go-to men's spa north of downtown, with good reviews and a steady local clientele.
Hamam (Urdesa)
Hamam is a well-known gay men's spa in Urdesa Central, in operation for several years, presenting itself openly as a "spa para hombres." Steam, sauna and social spaces make it a comfortable Urdesa alternative to the downtown venues.
