What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the warm service, excellent atmosphere, and the welcoming, respectful environment, noting the highly qualified professionals and immediate test results. However, some reviewers express disappointment with the professionalism and availability of doctors, particularly in Ciudad del Este, citing poor treatment and unexpected closures despite the free service.

About this place SOMOSGAY

SOMOSGAY is a Paraguayan LGBT rights organisation based at Independencia Nacional 1032 in central Asunción. It is an advocacy and community group, not a bar or club. It campaigns on legal rights, documents discrimination and runs health services, including HIV testing and counselling, along with community activities. For visitors it is a useful point of contact for the local situation. Paraguay does not recognise same-sex couples and public attitudes are conservative, so local advice on where to go out and how open to be is worth having. Check the website or social media for opening times and activities before turning up.
