TEDxUVM – Bird’s Eye View: Shifting Perspectives on Sustainability
About the event
The second annual TEDxUVM event put on by the UVM Student Government Association’s Committee on the Environment will be held on November 4th at 7:00pm in Fleming Museum room 101, and the application to speak is open until October 16th. The officially licensed event is open to undergraduate and graduate students attending the University of Vermont. This year’s theme (Bird’s Eye View: Shifting Perspectives on Sustainability) directs speakers to share a moment or experience that shifted how they view sustainability and/or the environment.
The event allows students to share unique experiences with a large platform and gain experience with public speaking, as well as providing an opportunity to network. TED limits the number of attendees to 100. We invite the speakers to invite guests before opening the registration to the public. UVM Video will be there to record the event so the talks can be posted on the TEDx website and YouTube.
