OFFSITE: Minnesota’s AIDS Generation
About the event
About This Event
By 1995, one gay American in nine had been diagnosed with AIDS and one in 15 had died – a decimation of the generation of gay men born between 1951 and 1970. Minnesota’s AIDS generation are now senior citizens, but thousands did not survive. This is a painful chapter in our state’s history, but also a hopeful story of a besieged community’s resilience.
