This was the first time visiting beautiful Antigua for my wife and I. We wanted to visit a small island that was safe, affordable, and unique. Our search for a place to stay landed on The Villas at Sunset Lane. We've grown tired of the sprawling, impersonal, all-inclusive resorts and made it our mission to find small, boutique inns that offer more personal, attentive service, comfortable and clean accommodations, and quality indigenous food. It is our belief that with a little work, you can piecemeal a vacation together (flight/accommodations/transfer) and come out even or even ahead of the all-inclusives. Well we found it in the 10 room Villas at Sunset Lane. Owner and Chef Jackie is a unique and special lady who made us feel welcome and comforted for our entire stay. Her meals were simply outstanding. She uses fresh local ingredients to prepare exceptional dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our room was super clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and courteous, willing and able to satisfy our every need. The small property sits on a hill overlooking the ocean, facing west for fantastic sunsets. It's a mere 10 minute walk to the beach. We also enjoyed the on-site pool. We wouldn't hesitate to book again when we return. Thanks Jackie for a top notch stay!
I had an unexpected one-night stay at Villas at Sunset after my flight was cancelled, and I could not have asked for a warmer welcome. I arrived late, tired, but the host was incredibly kind and even prepared a homemade dinner for me. That thoughtful gesture meant so much and turned a difficult day into a very comforting experience. The room was very clean, comfortable, and exceptionally spacious. The whole property is beautiful and well maintained. What made my stay truly special was the heart behind everything – genuine care, kindness, and true hospitality. I am very grateful for this experience and would highly recommend Villas at Sunset to anyone looking for a place with warmth, comfort, and outstanding hospitality.
Excellent and reasonably priced. Beautifully maintained and sparkly clean. Owner is extremely friendly. 10-15 minute walk to a beach.
the villas at sunset lane was absolutely my favorite place i’ve ever stayed. Jackie is the best hostess/owner ever. she is so ontop of every little thing she will make your stay PERFECT. she is so kind. our stay felt so personal warm fun and inviting. the place is SPOTLESS. it’s the cleanest place i’ve ever stayed in and BEAUTIFUL. it feels very beachy, comfortable and elegant. its breath taking. Jackie is an AMAZING cook. she makes the most delicious food ever and is so kind and intentional about it. the mac and cheese was the best i’ve ever had in my life. everything is so fresh and flavorful each meal is truly perfect some of the best food i’ve ever had. staying here truly felt like staying with family. Jackie is so kinda and personal to every guest.
Very nice place and owner, Jacqui. Very clean. Large room. To me the limited number of rooms (7?) make for a more friendly relaxed vibe than the huge places on the beaches. So smallish pool is fine. You need a car (or taxis), but that is true wherever if you want to explore the island. Intend to return.
Lovely boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood within a 10 minute walk to the beach/Dickenson Bay. The sand is white and fine, and the water crystal clear turquoise - the most gorgeous I have ever seen! We were there for a family birthday event for 5 days and were well taken care of. Jackie also arranged a taxi van to pick up arriving groups from the airport and to various events which was helpful.
