I'm a construction truck driver, and my employer often pays for a room for me to rest and relax for half a day before hitting the road again. I only stay here because of the fantastic service and the cleanliness of the smoking rooms! Yes, it's a motel, and nothing is perfect, but the treatment is 5-star! They carefully screen and vet their clientele!

I am writing to formally dispute the $500 hold placed on my card, in addition to the $374 charge for the room, for a total of $874. This practice is excessive and unjustifiable for a simple room rental. I travel internationally regularly and have never encountered such a large hold, even in higher-end establishments or with Airbnb. Without a clear, transparent, and prior explanation, this situation is unacceptable. I request that you immediately inform me of the exact reason for this hold, its legal basis, and the date the funds will be released.

The only problem we experienced was that $500 was frozen on our credit card and we were also charged $374 for the room. So, be sure to consider these potentially excessive fees before booking your stay.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The continental breakfast was good, and the space was intimate with music.
