If you like a beer/real ale then you will like it here. Just tell the bar staff what you like and they will make a recommendation. We had the Beaver Brew and it was spot on - a blond ale that is very drinkable! Don't be put off by the fact that it is situated in a back packer hostel - as 2 ladies of a certain age we felt very welcome.

Great venue in downtown Banff, not just for backpackers. Enjoyed meeting new people, happy hour specials and a great Thursday night Beaver Burger and beer. Don't give this bar a miss

Best bartender every! Food and drinks were fantastic. Great place to meet people and have a great night. Reasonable prices!

I came for the $5 beers during happy hour. Also, there were food specials and I tried the grilled cheese (it came with a side of chips, soup, or salad). The beers were good (I tried the HH Farmers Daughter Pale Ale), but not as cold as I am used to. The main bar is up stairs, but you can also drink in the sun downstairs.

Had the Beaver Burger Thursday special $16 with a beer. Best burger and fries I have had in a long time. Delicious food and cheap drinks

This place has a nice patio, an awesome happy hour, and best of all, the only good poutine in Banff, or in the Bow Valley! Pour vrai - la seule!

One of the best experiences having beers. Georgia is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and spinning the wheel is pretty fun! Such a vibe!

This is a little bar inside a hostel. Prices are so reasonable and the food was very good. My husband had the Waltzing Matilda burger which he loved had a slice of beet and a fried egg. Strange combination but he said it was so flavorful. I had a chicken sandwich which was also very good and the portion was very generous. It could be shared. I would visit again if ever in the area.

A cold day on the patio in Banff, but it was worth the warm welcoming service of Abi. She hands down made our day! If you haven’t been to Beaver Bar, you’re missing out!! 5 and a half stars if you ask me

Abi was that absolute greatest i dont want anyone else as a server after Abi she was amazing! Our service was the best service i have ever received she made our table felt very welcome!
