Beacon Hill Park is Victoria's large waterfront park just south of downtown, and the wooded trails along its Dallas Road oceanfront edge have a long-standing reputation as an after-dark gay cruising area. Activity is discreet and concentrated on the shrub-lined paths south of Dallas Road, mainly after nightfall in the warmer months. The park is public and popular with walkers and dog-owners by day, so discretion and respect for other visitors are essential.
