Punta Cana has one venue that markets itself directly to LGBTQ+ visitors: Paradise Garage DR in Bávaro, a cabaret club on Avenida Barceló built around its “Illusions” drag dinner show, which is followed by a late-night disco. On Google Maps the physical space is listed under the name “Tribu Dance Room”.
Beyond that, Punta Cana has no traditional gay bars. The famous tourist clubs – Coco Bongo, Imagine and Legacy – are mainstream and straight-oriented but generally welcoming to gay guests. For a fuller scene, the nearest city with dedicated gay bars is Santo Domingo, about a two-and-a-half to three-hour drive away.
Most LGBTQ+ social life in Punta Cana happens at gay-friendly all-inclusive resorts, on the beach, and at organised gay travel events rather than at fixed venues. We keep this page honest instead of padding it with straight tourist clubs.
