Don't visit that place. Terrible experience.
Terrible experience. Upon arrival, our room was highly disappointing, featuring a broken mattress, a non-functioning toilet, and an inadequate kitchenette with no separate dishwashing area. Shockingly, the toilet room lacked a sink, forcing us to wash our hands in the cooking area. When we immediately requested a refund, management refused. While they eventually replaced the mattress, they woke us up at 8:00 AM to do so. Checkout was equally frustrating; nobody was at reception at 7:00 AM. After texting staff to return the key, they demanded 50 Qs for a tiny, cheaply made plastic keychain that accidentally broke in my pocket. They held my license hostage until I paid. The staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful throughout our stay. Avoid this place; they will scam you for money at every opportunity.
Our experience at this hostel was extremely disappointing, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. The photos posted don't reflect the reality of the place. They look like old pictures and only show the rooms in better condition, while the rest give a sense of neglect. The room had several problems from the moment we arrived: dirty sheets, broken pictures, a shower with visible mold, and a poorly installed curtain that didn't even fully cover the area, causing water to leak all over the bathroom. To make matters worse, pieces of mold came out when we turned on the hot water, and I received an electric shock while showering when I touched the faucet. This went beyond just an inconvenience and became a serious safety issue. The room was for three people, and they only provided a tiny bar of soap (approximately 1.5 x 2 inches) and two packets of shampoo, barely a quarter of an ounce each. We asked for more soap, and the receptionist told us she would have to "request authorization." Something as basic as toiletries shouldn't require that process. I also think they need more staff at reception. It's clear they're assigning too many responsibilities to one person, and they simply can't handle everything. We had to leave early to catch a bus, and the receptionist told us she'd arrive at 4:50 a.m.; however, she didn't arrive until 5:15 a.m. Then we still had to wait approximately 15 more minutes for her to give us our IDs while she checked each room by herself for possible damage, even though the rooms were already quite run-down. The food was also very disappointing. The portions were minimal: two slices of plantain per person, cold refried beans, a small packet of butter, and, to our surprise, tortillas were extra. The coffee tasted like lukewarm water with sugar, practically devoid of any coffee flavor. Furthermore, being so close to the airport, the planes are extremely loud. It was quite hot at night, and they don't even have fans. In short: uncomfortable, neglected, and not at all pleasant. There are much better places for less money. It's definitely not worth what they charge.
