Saint Lucia Pride
About This Event
Saint Lucia Pride is run by 758Pride, an independent group of Saint Lucian LGBTQ activists formed in 2018 (758 is the island's dialling code). The first edition was in 2019 and it has run every year since; the sixth, in 2024, included a drag show and a health fair.
The legal backdrop changed recently. On 29 July 2025 the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court struck down Saint Lucia's buggery and gross-indecency laws, which carried up to ten years in prison, in a case brought by the Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Diversity and Equality on behalf of a gay couple. A month later, on 29 August 2025, 758Pride opened its season with the first public raising of the Pride flag on the island, at the Résidence de France. Politicians stayed largely quiet about the ruling, and same-sex couples still have no legal recognition.
Don't expect a street parade: we found no record of one. Pride here is a season of roundtable discussions, community events and parties running from late August into September.
We could not confirm the 2026 programme, and the 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked. 758Pride's own social channels carry the calendar.
