Honestly. Don’t bother going
“Very disappointing experience on Sunday. The DJ had a terrible attitude. When I politely requested a Karol G song, he simply replied, ‘I don’t like that song.’” “Whether he likes Karol G or not is completely irrelevant. She’s one of the biggest Latin artists in the world, especially among Latino audiences. A DJ’s job is to read the crowd, create a great atmosphere, and treat customers with respect, not dismiss song requests because of personal preferences.” “That kind of ego and unprofessional behavior completely ruins the experience. I expected much better.”
Used to be my favorite place in the city. Never thought I'd leave anything less than 10 stars, butt as someone who feels as betrayed as I do I can only dare leave this one star based on previous experience. As a local and one of the most reoccurring faces for almost two years, it's almost unsettling I was tossed aside for very vague reasons that I know for a fact 1000 other people are doing here in a night. One of the reasons im alive to this day is because of the community I found here. But I'll separate my community from the place. Don't know if I'll ever come back here, which im is so sad to say.
I would have given this place 5 stars because of John’s excellent service. He was kind and professional after l a negative interaction I had at the entrance. I asked the employee at the front door if military admission was free. Instead of answering, he replied, “It’s only $5.” When I clarified that I wasn’t asking about the price, I repeated my question. The response felt dismissive and implied I was being unreasonable for asking about veteran admission. The employee then mentioned that he was a Marine, which did not address my question. A simple yes or no would have been sufficient. Additionally, the employee was blocking the entrance with his leg extended across the doorway, which came across as unprofessional. John’s service was outstanding and salvaged the visit. However, front door staff should be trained to answer customer questions directly and maintain decency. Blocking the door with you leg is wild to me. Seems like a nice establishment so I would assume they can afford a better way of blocking the door.
I came in for a margarita and was quoted $10 for a large, even though the small is normally $5. The entire interaction happened at the second bar with the server — Jul or Johnson or whatever her name was — who immediately rolled her eyes and caught an attitude when I simply asked about the smaller size. She insisted they only had large ones, so I paid and walked outside, only for someone else to come out afterward and confirm they actually *did* have the small ones after all. On top of that, I was handed a drink I never even asked for in the first place. Honestly, if you work in hospitality, leave your personal issues, vendettas, and bias at the door. Customers should not have to deal with unnecessary attitude over a simple drink order. I came for a margarita, not awkward energy and drama. The level of incompetence paired with confidence was honestly impressive. I’ll be back more frequently though, and we’ll see if that man face attitude improves by then.
Horrible service walked in the first bar and the bartenders had a whole conversation while I sat in their face the I walked to the 2nd bar and the lady took 20 mins to make drinks so I asked a guy that was standing to the side for a seltzer and he pointed at the lady he finally gave me one I handed him a 20 and he gave me back 8 bucks lol. Idk what’s going on but don’t waste ur time
