About the event

Make Memory Move, founded by Ada Pinkson, is offering two free community workshops in Atlanta, GA. The local Black community is invited to participate. While known as the “Mecca of Black Culture,” the city’s legacies within the American civil and labor rights often get swept under the rug. These histories are the focus of the workshops in the historic West End on August 22nd & 29th, 1-4pm ET. The workshop offerings will be the building blocks of the latest iteration of Pinkston’s shared public (re)memory work that focuses on movement and somatic healing techniques.
