About the event

What does it look like to become?
Join MODA’s Queer Figure Drawing Night with Ashanti Hampton for Drag & Transformation, a session that celebrates the process of becoming rather than only the finished look. Our model will move through the rituals of transformation, applying makeup, getting dressed, adjusting clothing, and stepping into drag, inviting participants to draw the body as it changes, prepares, reveals, and becomes.
This is figure drawing as process: a chance to notice the gestures, pauses, textures, and small acts of self-making that happen along the way. Come draw a transformation in progress and explore how identity can be expressed through movement, clothing, adornment, and presence.
Seasoned artists and first-timers are all equally welcome.
