About this place Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bismarck-Mandan

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Bismarck-Mandan is a mid-range chain hotel at 135 Ivy Avenue on the west side of Bismarck, close to the Missouri River crossing to Mandan. It's a mainstream, gay-friendly hotel, not a gay venue. Bookings go through Choice Hotels. The 48 Google reviews average 3.8. Treat it as a practical stopover with a car: the state capitol and downtown Bismarck are a short drive east. Bismarck has little in the way of a dedicated LGBTQ nightlife scene, so check local events listings if you're looking for community activities.

Typical cheap budget hotel crap. Cheap hotel with recent updates done poorly. Room was worn down, toilet was busted up and too turned around to "hide it" bed itself was old as hell but they fid update the headboards. (breakfast 6-9am) At 830am there was a lobby full of people wanting to eat breakfast. 4 empty hot dishes with no food, no milk, no juice, and literally nothing to eat except toast and bananas. No one brought anything else out to eat. Didn't spend the extra money for a toast breakfast. What a waste. Front lobby clerk was unapologetic and unhelpful.

We were in a first floor room, with windows facing a McDonalds drive-through. That noise did not bother us, but someone repeatedly revving his car to get it running did bother at 12:30am.

Not very clean and rooms are out dated. Blankets were discolored and stained. Pool was freezing.
