What reviewers say

Many visitors praise the talented and gorgeous performers, finding the shows fun and engaging, with some calling it the best drag show they've seen. However, common complaints include the venue being dirty, drinks being overpriced, and staff being rude, with a significant number of reviewers also noting that it's cash only and not a "real" drag show by some definitions.

About this place Jacque's Cabaret

Jacques Cabaret, on Broadway, is Boston's one true drag club. It’s been putting on shows almost every night for ages.

You won't find anything fancy here. No polished, high-end look; the furniture's probably seen a lot. That’s the point. It’s about the performers and the raw energy of live drag, not some expensive fit-out. This is a real neighborhood spot, a place where the community comes to see drag in an intimate room.

If you want a proper drag show in Boston—not a queen popping up at some random club, but a place where drag is the whole reason you're there—Jacques is it. Come ready to watch some serious talent in a casual, friendly atmosphere.

It's been over 50 years since I have been to Jacgues' Cabaret. I loved going there. I am looking forward to going with my daughters and granddaughters again.

My friends and I were attending an event and got harrased by an off the clock employee who was incredibly drunk. When we reported this to other venue employees, they just said "He's harmless" and didn't care. I'm not going to recount all details, but the response from management was completely unprofessional and dismissive. None of us will be coming back.

We sadly visited last Thursday. Although there was a private party with (very, very young) people wearing blue bracelets they still let us in (awkward). We waited for 10 min for a drink. A “mature” bartender told us the price of 2 ciders (cash only: tax evasion alert) we gave her money, she pocketed a considerate part of the change and left without a word. We decided not to confront and just got out of there. Music wasn’t even good. By the way, we are Event Planners and came to Boston to scout for venues, so guess where a 20.000 dollar party for an international CMO of a well-known fast food retailer brand is NOT going to be hosted… Their loss.
