Every time I’ve been here I’ve had a blast. Safe, inclusive, the best kind of misbehaving

I love House of Yes and what it represents, but this experience was disappointing. I brought my girlfriend from Brazil, and we were treated quite rudely at the entrance. We arrived at 6:15 PM, and since a storm was approaching, we asked if we could wait inside until 6:30. The woman simply yelled, “WE OPEN AT 6:30, IT SAYS SO ON THE TICKET.” For a place that prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming, I expected more kindness and understanding. We ended up waiting in a café and getting caught in the rain. Her reaction was completely unnecessary.

I used to love this place until I was mistaken for someone else by security staff and was accusing me of something I didn’t do. They aggressively pushed me out the door without even making sure if I was the actual person. This place has evolved downhill and feels more like a zoo for straight people to watch the lgbtqia+ community. This is not a safe space anymore.
