Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Williston/Burlington

The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The rooms were very modern and clean. Parking was easy with Uhaul.

We had a great stay! Room was clean and had a nice kitchen. Staff was amazing and helpful! Breakfast was hot and great! Will stay here again.

The staff at this hotel exceeds expectations on a daily basis ! Christine, Jenny and Neil are an incredible team and are focused on providing a wonderful experience for each guest. Greeting guests as they enter the lobby, providing quick directions to local places and making sure every need is met for their guests that they can possibly assist with. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Williston/Burlington VT area!

Stayed here with my teen boys while visiting Burlington a couple of months ago and there were pros & cons. For us, there were more cons than pros... PROS: I gave 2 stars for the cleanliness! - The room seemed pretty new and especially the bathroom seemed nice and clean and NEW. - And it was handy to have a fridge and microwave in the room with the kids. - It was only about a 10 minute drive into downtown Burlington. CONS: - It was really confusing when we got to the hotel as the main entrance doesn't say Wyndham or Hawthorne anywhere visible from the outside, just La Quinta. I was really confused and had specifically chosen NOT to stay at La Quinta because it didn't have as good of reviews. Seemed a little bait and switch. - The bathroom door is a sliding barn door and even when closed, it leaves a big gap between the frame and the door so anyone in the main room can see it all... and SMELL it all! - No fan in the bathroom. Not great when you are sharing the room with multiple people (did I mention I was sharing a room with teen boys?) and when there's a GAP IN THE DOOR! - Walls, windows & ceilings/floors seem thin. Could hear the upstairs guests loudly as well as the traffic in the morning. - We got a room with a pull out couch. Unfortunately, the room is so small that we had to move the main bed for the pull out bed to actually open all the way. Once it was open, we had to climb over the beds to get in and out of bed 🤦‍♀️ - I was charged $16.42 for a "snack bar" purchase I never made. I don't know if it was an honest mistake or a shady employee but, when I checked in, I had to use my card for the security deposit hold and when I "tapped", it made the processing sound and showed the processing icon on the screen but the employee said it didn't go through. I said, "are you sure? I don't want to end up getting charged twice" but, she assured me I wouldn't so I tapped again. Lo and behold, the next day I have a random charge on my account from Wyndham Williston. The manager on duty the next day figured out it was a snack bar charge. I told her I definitely didn't make that purchase and she was welcome to check their security footage. She promised to issue a refund immediately. After the 7-10 business days had gone by and no refund, I called back several times and kept being told it was issued and my bank must be holding things up. Mind you, $16 isn't a big deal but the way it went down seemed shady and I didn't like that I was now being lied to about the refund. So, after my bank said there were no refunds in process and that I should let them know I was prepared to file a dispute, I left several messages for the manager who was no longer returning my calls. After a month, I reached someone at the front desk who happened to have been there when I first reported it and he was surprised I hadn't gotten a refund yet. He connected me with someone else and within 24 hrs, surprise surprise, I had my refund! If I'd just gotten the refund when the manager first discovered the issue and promised to issue the refund, I'd have assumed it was an honest mistake but the way I kept getting lied to seems like there was something fraudulent going on🤷‍♀️ Keep an eye on your credit card charges when you're there!

From the moment we stepped through the front door, everything was perfect. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The place is very, very clean. The breakfast was very good. Would definitely return. Wish we could have stayed longer.
