About this place ManRay

ManRay was a well-known Cambridge club from the 1980s until it closed in 2005, famous for goth, industrial and fetish nights and a big gay following. It reopened in 2023 at 40 Prospect Street, near Central Square, and again runs themed dance nights with a mixed, queer-friendly crowd. It is an alternative club rather than a classic gay bar. Each night has its own theme and often a dress code (fetish, goth), so check the event listing before you go. Bring ID, as the door is strict. Central Square on the Red Line is a few minutes' walk away.

ugh unfortunately if you do not fit a certain look people will judge you. I wish I could say it’s a welcoming crowd with good music but the music and is great and the people are so judgmental. If you do not fit a certain look they will judge and shun you which is unfortunate because I thought this would be a safe space? Good music though! Come if you’re skinny and tatted!
