My daughter and I were part of a school trip. The hotel put us in a room with one bed. (We were booked to have a room with two beds) Wheni called the front desk to have them bring in a rollaway bed, they said they were unable to bring one up. The room we have is badly in need of renovation. Things are worn out, or just dont work. The bathroom has ZERO ventilation. The shower head is in the center of the side wall, and is extremely awkward to try and position so it gets you wet, or it just points at the shower curtain. The bathtub was dirty, as well as several other things around the bathroom, and main room. Definitely will not stay here again.
I was greeted cordially and professionally by the front desk. Getting the keys to the room was speedy and professionally done.
Fine, conscientious service at the end of the train and S3 bus line into downtown Boston. Manager on duty started texting me immediately after check-in to make sure everything was OK, television in room had a welcoming message with my name on it, and room included both microwave and refrigerator. Airport shuttle every 30 minutes. No significant noise except for some trains honking as they passed through a nearby station. Gas and food options within a block.
Very nice, clean hotel with a restaurant on site. Rooms are good size and comfortable. Food is definitely better than what is usually available these days at hotel "restaurants". Has a nice variety including steak tips and clam chowder which were both very good. Easy parking and pretty cheap at only $30.
I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Logan Airport Chelsea, and while the location was convenient, the hotel itself did not meet the standards I expect from the Hilton brand. The property feels outdated and in need of maintenance. The carpet did not appear clean, the bathroom sink was scratched, and the shower had rust around the drain. The bathroom fan was dirty and not working, and the desk chair was worn and peeling. The outlets by the bedroom night stand did not work. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and very helpful with directions, which I appreciated. The room was generally clean, but the overall condition of the hotel made the stay less comfortable than expected. I’ve attached photos in my review to show the issues I encountered. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again.
My friends booked this hotel months in advance for their honeymoon and arrived at 1:30 AM only to be told their reservation had been “cancelled” on the hotel’s end, even though they had proof through Hotels.com that it was fully paid and never cancelled. The hotel staff offered little explanation or accountability and then tried to offer them another room for double the original price because it was Memorial Day weekend. Hotels.com later confirmed the reservation was never cancelled on their side, which makes the whole situation even more frustrating. Completely irresponsible handling of reservations especially for people traveling late at night for such an important trip.
