One of the hottest films in the Oscar race has come to town. And nods for Best Actor, Director and Picture are the talk of the town.
Wild Horse Nine is a black comedy-political thriller from Martin McDonagh, director of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Banshees of Inisherin. The movie stars John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi, Mariana di Girolamo, Tom Waits and Parker Posey.
The story follows two CIA agents in 1973 who travel to Easter Island for an assignment and wrestle with their dark pasts.
Wild Horse Nine has its world premiere in the main competition of the Venice Film Festival in September, where Malkovich won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor.
The movie boasts a 94 on Rotten Tomatoes.
Showtime for next weekend has yet to post, but we will aim for our usual time of 4 pm. Please check back early next week for the official showtime. I will also email the showtime to all those who RSVP Yes.
After the movie we can grab a bite nearby.
Hope to see you there.
