About the event

This workshop with Brittaney Whitenhill of Our-Backyard.org invites participants to explore the multifaceted world of herbs. Discover their medicinal properties, aromatic benefits and creative uses beyond cooking. This workshop offers practical insights into growing, harvesting and integrating herbs into everyday wellness routines, fostering a deeper connection to nature's remedies. Participants will make an herbal tea blend to take home. Fee: $32; 20% discount for Duke Gardens members with discount code. Parking: Parking fees apply. Location: Check in at the front desk of the Barnes Welcome Center. Accessibility: This is a small group program that takes place partially seated indoors and partially outdoors in a garden area that can be reached by a combination of paved and unpaved paths with some uneven surfaces and moderate inclines. The indoor location is equipped with a hearing loop, which transmits sound directly to hearing aids and cochlear implants with a T-coil setting. Accessible restrooms are available onsite.
