Paradise Stream Resort

We had a lovely time at Paradise Stream. Everyone who worked there, from Theresa and Donna at the desk, to Tay, Justin, and the rest of the dining staff, were courteous, clear, and provided helpful services. We loved the kitsch of the resort and stepping back in time. Everything felt clean and all ammenities worked as intended. The food was standard hotel food at reasonable prices. We look forward to returning!

Some of the service employees can be rude and ignorant. Some were absolutely amazing. The food wasn't the greatest but edible.

Checked in on May 20th and someone barged into our room (maintenance). There was no water in the pool, had to be moved three different times! Second room their pool area had bugs that were dead on the ground. The speaker in room didn’t work. The lights in the jacuzzi area didn’t work, lamp on table next to tv stand also didn’t work as well. The room in the pool was not cleaned properly and it seemed like the jacuzzi mirrors weren’t as well. When we went to breakfast it was not up to par. Food was cold. Customer service was horrible, very rude and very arrogant. Young lady snatched the bill out of my spouses hand and couldn’t even politely explain to us where to pay. Expected us to know. When we asked she rudely said “leave it there”. assuming we’d be using the card on file. Didn’t ask if we wanted to use different one. The amenities were not able to be used due to them leaving everything in the rain. Half the amenities didn’t work as well. We paid over 1500 and couldn’t enjoy ourself at the actual resort. When trying to get in touch with general manager all they kept doing was telling us he’d be there around 2:30-3pm and wasn’t. When we finally were able to get in contact with him. He stated he’d give us 100$ off, didn’t. Gave us 72$ and it didn’t actually come off. Charged us stuff to our rooms that he claimed to take off. On day of checking out, staff were very rude and dismissive and not trying to help us. Put their hands in my spouses face and more. Never stay here!!

Great time. Lots of activities.

The rundown this place is trash: The resort was rundown and not taken care of. Houskeeping we had to wear flips so our feet wouldn't be grey. Requested towels at 8 am they didn't arrive till after 3pm. The heart shaped whirlpool could have been fun if the jets weren't controlled by a 15 minute timer that was on the other side of the room. The dry sauna is a joke its a metal box with rocks on top, it takes a long time to start working again using a15 minute crank. But once it kicks on the burning smell that comes out of it is awful. The only good thing about room was the pool, but the mirrors around the pool are so old that the silvering under the glass is coming through. The ac did not keep the room cool.the bed and the pillows were so uncomfortable.Maintenance :The tiles around the garden of eve apple rooms (we stayed in 321) were literally missing. Pott holes, grass over grown, even a tree was down taking out the fence of the tennis/badminton court. We went on the nature walk and it looked like a scene of a B horror movie. There were bundles of trees and limbs in piles, and thrown about that were cut down. The trail takes you on what must have used to be a haunted ride trail. But there was a huge wind torn tent that halloween decorations, pallet piles. The arcade room to actually play the games cost MONEY its $1 per player. There wasnt an air hockey system as listed, and the bowling machine was down most of the time. The pool tables are in separate rooms, but on is to close to the wall making playing from all angles impossible, and the other is in the workout gym making it awkward to have fun while someone is using the gym equipment. The happy hour was a joke the free appetizers are cheese cubes, diced pepperoni, salami, and barely warmed cheese jalapeños. The drinks range in pricing $12-$14 and they tasted like there wasn't alcohol in them. At dinner the drinks were purely alcohol. The community indoor pool room was freezing so actually swimming, or using the jacuzzi was impossible. Also the jacuzzi jets did not work properly. We were told by the front desk that the hot tub was down for maintenance. The outdoor games were not kept up to date. The mini golf was small, and it didnt have the fun bumpers, or fun inserts like ramps to make it challenging. The basketball court was pathetic the balls weren't filled so not much of a bounce, and the hoops had been jumped on so much the back boards were all twisted. Making the hoops twisted and bent. To play tennis, badminton, or archery you had to go the gift shop to show ID and check them out. The archery station was dangerous the boards were unstable to walk on, some boards were even popping up. The chess pieces for the outdoor set up were unavailable. For dinners we were told upon reservation that there was a dress code in place. But its not enforced because couples showed up in hoodies and sweat pants. The dinners were edible, but they didnt taste good. Only the dessert was good and thats probably because they got them shipped in frozen.The breakfast buffet was ok, but the waiters were great for breakfast and dinner. The lake was sadly disgusting. We walked up to the worker in the booth to say that we're interested in pedal boating. The worker just looked at us and said ok. He never gave us life jackets even though there was a bug safety sign, and he never offered to help us get in boat or kayak. The pedal boats were sun dried,and the pedals were duct taped in place. The lake was also filled with floating cigarette butts. We also noticed workers tossing cigarettes everywhere on the resort. The night club was boring and the happy hour bingo you had to play to play. Needless to say we were super excited to go home. When we went to check out we were told that they would not refund us on the fire logs were purchased from them. Long story short do not book at these resorts. You will not have a good time, you will need to go out of the resort to have fun, and their website is a lie

Resort was nice a bit out dated. Could use a upgrade. The meals are included however did not offer many options for those with shell fish and lactose allergy. The rooms were very clean and spotless.

The place is very run down. The rooms were filthy. We called the supervisor, but he refused to speak to us. However, the other staff, like those who work in the restaurant and at the hotel, gave us excellent service. That was the only good thing. It's far too expensive for such neglected and poor-quality rooms. The carpet was torn. The bed smelled bad. The pool wasn't properly maintained. The jacuzzi was dirty. The furniture is extremely worn.
