Franklin Street staple, and my Dad's favorite place to eat. Enormous beer selection.

DELICIOUS!!!! Very authentic German Restaurant. Also offer American foods. Had the Sausage Sampler. Lots of variety. Service was wonderful!

The food was great. The service was pretty good. Sitting guests near the dumpster, not so much. It's hard to enjoy dinner while shooing flies.

If you are even somewhat close, it is well worth the drive. Wonderful german food in an awesome authentically historic building. Great atmosphere, with fast friendly service. If you have any doubts just walk in the door and give them a go. IF you happen to have a straggler that doesn't like German food, they have wonderful hand dipped in their own batter chicken tenders.

Went to the Gerst Bavarian Haus today. The atmosphere was great. My mother used to live in Germany and said that it was just like something you would see over there. The food was great. We had the wienerschnitzel and the Jager schnitzel.

If you are ever in Evansville, Indiana stop by the Gerst Bavarian Haus for some tasty food. I had the Bavarian Bratwurst sandwich with applesauce and sauerkraut (hubby ate my sauerkraut for me). Hubby had the Knackwurst sandwich & red cabbage (no pic). We split the apple strudel and ice cream. Everything was delicious. Service prompt and friendly.

Our waiter this evening was incredible. High personable energy, and very attentive without being a "hover" waiter. He was PERFECT! The food was authentic as I know it to be. And so so good.
