About the event

“Cheers, Queers!” is a vibrant and casual meet & greet for West Michigan’s Trans & Queer Community! This welcoming and inclusive gathering is an excellent space to reconnect with old friends (and meet some new ones)!  Co-sponsored by GR Trans Foundation & GR Pride Center.

“Cheers, Queers!” currently happens TWICE per month: one standard happy hour at Brewery Vivant, and one alcohol-free meetup at Lotus Brew.

Important details! Bring a friend or come solo – all are welcome! Lotus has a full dry bar / mocktail menu (see Discussion tab or their website for more info)! No purchase necessary; however, pastries, full dry bar / mocktail menu, espresso drinks, teas, sodas, & coffee will be available for purchase. Outside food can be brought into the venue, but please no outside bevvies. Instead, support Lotus with a drink purchase! Nearby food: Asada, KCM, Red Bowl, and Black Napkin. Venue is all-ages, but this event is 18+.

TRANSPORTATION:

Bikes. Secure bike racks are available around the corner in front of Leon & Son Wine.
Bus. Exit the 6 bus at the Lake/Diamond stop, venue is located half a block south from stop (approx. 1 minute by foot).
Cars. There is street parking, free after 7pm.

ACCESSIBILITY:

Handicap parking spot in front of the venue (and an unofficial one in the back).
For wheelchair/ramp access, the side door in the alley is ramped, but it is very uneven pavement + a bump at the base of the door. The door can sometimes get stuck. If you need assistance navigating the uneven pavement or opening the side door, please call when you arrive: (616) 419-8613
Venue and event can become loud when busy.
Venue has two all-gender restrooms.
Venue has vegan brownies. No in-house GF food options.
