Transgender Day of Remembrance Program: From Visibility to Legacy
About the event
🏳️⚧️ Remembering lives. Honoring legacies. Inspiring lasting change.
Join the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce and NGLCC for a special Transgender Day of Remembrance program, “From Visibility to Legacy: Honoring Trans Lives Through Community Advocacy.”
This meaningful conversation will explore the importance of preserving transgender history, celebrating community trailblazers, and turning remembrance into action.
Through the story of Erica Andrews, an internationally recognized transgender performer, mentor, and community leader, we'll learn about grassroots efforts to honor her legacy through a proposed memorial street designation in San Antonio.
Together, we'll explore how community organizations, business leaders, advocates, and allies can collaborate to ensure the stories and contributions of transgender individuals are remembered for generations to come. 💙
