West Street Beach

West Street Beach is the long-standing gay beach of Orange County, a stretch of sand below the bluff in South Laguna where gay men and the wider LGBTQ+ crowd have gathered for decades. It is small, and on summer weekends it fills up quickly. Access is by a long, steep public staircase off Pacific Coast Highway at West Street. Parking is limited to metered street spaces, so arrive early or take the Laguna Beach trolley. There are no restrooms, showers or food on the sand; Aliso Beach Park nearby has facilities. Bring water, shade and everything else you need, because you will carry it back up the stairs.
