The N Robertson Boulevard address, a short walk from the eastern end of Santa Monica Blvd, puts The Abbey at the heart of WeHo's bar geography. The outdoor patio, with its multiple seating areas, fire pits, and the constant passage of celebrities who live and socialise in West Hollywood, is the most photographed gay outdoor space in Los Angeles. Inside, multiple distinct spaces create different atmospheres simultaneously: the restaurant section serving full food menus throughout the day, the central bar area, and the dance floor where DJs spin nightly. The staff are professional; the service level is notably higher than most bars in the city. The Abbey's celebrity culture is not incidental — West Hollywood is home to a significant entertainment industry LGBTQ+ community, and The Abbey is where they socialise publicly. Madonna, Lindsay Lohan, and virtually every other celebrity associated with the gay community has been photographed here. The venue runs Pride programming throughout June that makes it the central gathering point for LA Pride week. Cover charges apply on weekend nights; arriving before 9pm avoids both the cover and the longest waits.
