About this place The MerryWeather

The MerryWeather is a neighbourhood bar on Lydia Street in Schnitzelburg, Louisville's old German working-class district south of Germantown. It's listed as gay-friendly and draws a queer-leaning local crowd, but it's a mixed corner bar rather than a dedicated gay club. Expect cheap drinks, theme nights, rotating food pop-ups and a pet-friendly outdoor area. It's a good stop if you want a relaxed drink with locals instead of a dance floor. For Louisville's gay clubs, head to the bars around Main Street and NuLu downtown, a short drive away. Check social media for the current pop-up and theme-night schedule. Google rating 4.7 from about 320 reviews.

Arguably the best bar in Louisville. I was a fan of the owners’ work with The Wiggle Room in the Highlands during its brief but wonderful run. A few years later, I finally made my way here, and I hope you won’t wait as long as I did to give it a shot. It’s a joy to visit any day of the week. The MerryWeather folks have exceptional taste in decor, music, food truck partnerships and how they leverage their beer taps. Several pinball machines and arcade games are on deck in their own room; they’re crowd-pleasing favorites and receive the routine maintenance they need. The patio is sizable, cozy and perfect for waiting on a food truck order. And when it comes down to it, you know you’re in good hands with any place that sells Malört AND Little Kings.

Great vibe and drinks, the popup restaurant was delicious, but a little overpriced and gave me mild food poisoning.
