About this place Ground Zero Nightclub

Ground Zero is a goth and industrial nightclub in Minneapolis, just across the river from downtown. It is known for dark, horror-style decor and themed nights that have included bondage and fetish shows. It is not a gay club but has long drawn a mixed alternative crowd that includes many queer regulars, and it is listed here as gay-friendly. Google rates it 4.2 from about 400 reviews, and reviewers note it is cash-only. We have no hours or website on file, and alternative clubs change their programming often, so check the club's social media for current theme nights and confirm it is still running before you go.

Unique place that attracts the spectrum of the dark under-verse, it is highly recommended to wear black and skimpy clothing, the dance floor is spacious and there’s much to be entertained with, I went alone wearing a goth t shirt and all black and fit in fine, cash only to get in and at the bar, the performances are cool and the dom thing in the back is even better than expected. Drinks are priced well, the bar upstairs closes earlier than the down stairs bars. 🦇

We've been going for almost 30 years, just saying, we might be OGs here. Inclusiveness is the rule here, all are welcome, no room on the dance floor for hate. The DJs are why we are regulars. The staff is beloved; dancers, bar tenders , security etc.
