Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center

Came here in 2012 to speak at a home-school convention. Very nice facility with good conference rooms.

Was greeted promptly and helped with every issue except one. I called a week ahead of time to ask for a microwave j. The room. I was told by the reservation attendant she would annotate my request and it shouldn't be a problem. Only to find when I arrived they do not provide this service. I was a bit miffed because I could have made alternate arrangements beforehand if the agent I spoke with had only been up front vs placating me saying she would annotate the request.

Top floor King room with a river view was fantastic. The room was supposed to include concierge lounge access but I had to go back to the front desk to add it to my room key. The lady at the front desk argued with me and demanded I show my reservation email. They continued to argue despite all this until another desk agent who seemed to be some kind of manager informed them that my room did include it. The most annoying part was the condescending scowl from this lady when I initially asked to have my key fixed, and then they were visibly angry when they had to actually add the concierge lounge access to my room key. They really need to make sure the desk agents are properly trained on their jobs. Other than this one employee, it was a wonderful stay. If it weren't for this experience, I would give it a full 5 stars. All of the other employees were wonderful, extremely helpful, and polite. A desk agent should not be acting this way.

5 Star Hospitality.S Great Convention Hotel.

The room was clean, bathroom up to par. There is a pool outdoors and a gym on the 1st floor. Breakfast buffet had quite a few options that were enjoyable. The room card didn't work and had to call front desk to get me in. She assisted me quickly. Then there was another day, the card stopped working and I had to get another card to the room.

Excellent stay here for a conference. The staff were excellent, the culinary staff were absolute perfection! My room was cold and cozy! The music downstairs was lively, and the restaurants had the best food!

Toilet broke in middle of my 3 day stay but other than that, it was a beautiful hotel with several nice accommodations.
