Great place to stay. I stayed for 3 months for my work contract. Love the peace and quiet here. Love walking the area which is beautiful. Owner is great, accommodating and prompt when needing something. Love the private bathroom/shower. I will be staying here if I come back for vacation and or work.

My perception of this place might be different. It's my home; I feel right at home. I believe they currently accept long-term stays, but there's usually room for other options. Loren and her family try their best to make your stay the best it can be. The views are unbeatable, overlooking the Connecticut River. It's a peaceful place, with options for children, and you have everything you need, whether you're staying for one night or more than a year, as I have been. I have no complaints.

I enjoyed my stay at HOTC from March to September 2023. It is truly off the Connecticut River which made it calm and peaceful with an amazing view. Loren was attentive to his guests and answered all questions/concerns promptly. The drive to and from Lyme is beautiful no matter what route you take (there are a few different ways) and I enjoyed them all! The best advice I can give is don’t use your phone for directions. Go get lost and explore because you can find things much closer than Lebanon, like the Dollar General in Fairlee or Hannaford in Bradford.

I stayed here from July to December 2022. I fell in love with it being right on the Connecticut River. It was so quiet and serene. It was a bit of a drive for me to work, but I enjoyed the drive until it snowed...the town of Lyme was very cute and small, 2 restaurants and one local gas station store with a small selection, and limited produce. The town shuts down around 8pm. If you want a Walmart or grocery store, that would be about 30 minutes in Lebanon.. I always made sure I had my grocery list and checked it twice. The landlord, Loren, was always available to help with anything or answer questions. He was great at communication and approachable. The room itself was a studio with a small kitchenette, table, and two chairs with a queen size bed and a bathroom with a shower. They have done a nice job remodeling the room. The heating is floor and was so nice when the weather turned cold. I was on the bottom floor, which I liked, but heard a lot of the other tenants walking or workingout above me, and there was no ac, which, I had to get a fan, a couple of summer nights that were really hot. Overall, if I ever need to go back to New Hampshire. I would love to stay here again and recommend Home on the Connecticut to everyone I know who may be traveling to NH. Thank you for making it a home away from home!

The good: beautiful location, extremely nice and helpful hosts, great breakfast. The bad: the room felt like a bathroom with a bed in it; the photos hide the shower in the bedroom next to the sink, and toilet in a small cubby. There was also something off, seemed like a mold issue, that caused very bad respiratory symptoms for both of us. We eventually left early to change to another hotel because I woke up with my eye swollen shut. It began to clear up (along with the respiratory symptoms) as soon as we left. I think they have let the upkeep on the building slip, really needs updating. I'm not big into complaining and it is possible it was a freak occurrence, but I definitely left feeling like it was money very poorly spent. Fortunately, the kindness of the innkeepers kept my irritation over the situation to a minimum.

Great, serene location. Amazing hosts. Perfect breakfast. Just FYI -- the room set up is a bit unique, with the bed in between the sink and the open shower. Not a big deal, depending on your situation, but certainly a bit out of the ordinary. Place could use some TLC.
