Trans Youth Parent Support Group

Wednesday, 02 September 2026 · 18:30 – 19:30 Pittsburgh, United States

About the event

In these uncertain times when accurate information and access to care are under threat by the government and institutional policies, parents of trans kids and their families need support more than ever.
This in-person group is being offered free of charge to parents or caregivers of trans adolescents who are contemplating or eligible for age-appropriate, medically necessary, affirming care (primarily ages 12-17, but parents of older or younger kiddos are also welcome to attend).
The group will be guided and facilitated by a peer specialist with advanced training in gender diversity and affirming care with over thirty years of experience, who has been supporting parents, families, and youth in Pittsburgh since 2020.
Expect to find mutual support in a safe environment where you can ask questions and get open and honest answers informed by local, regional, and national professional connections.
Groups will be held in person on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 6:30PM, hosted at First United Methodist Church — 5401 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
